The Elantra Touring comes with only one engine choice, that is 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with an output of 138 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. A five speed manual transmission is standard and a four speed automatic is optional. The Hyundai Elantra Touring returns 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, with the automatic transmission the highway economy drops to 30 mpg. The Elantra Touring reached 60 mph from a standstill in 8.7 seconds.

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring is available in two trim-level, Elantra Touring GLS and SE. The base GLS includes air-conditioning, full power accessories, heated side mirrors, a tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery, 15-inch steel wheels, 60/40-split rear seats, keyless entry, a cooled glove-box and a six-speaker stereo. Options packaged as “Popular” includes foglights, roof rails, a trip computer, upgraded cloth upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, driver seat height and lumbar adjustments and a retractable cargo cover.

The higher trim SE gets all the features of GLS plus the “Popular” package and adds a sunroof, leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats and, on manual-transmission models, a sport shifter. Rear spoiler and Bluetooth can be fitted as individual option in both the model.

Satandard safety equipments are antilock disc brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and front-seat active head restraints.

There is enough head and legroom in both front and back seats. The cargo room is quite large with 24 cubic feet of loading space with the rear seats up and a huge 65 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

2011 Hyundai Elantra

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra is the fith generation of Elantra. Unlike the previous versions of Elantra the new 2011 Elantra is completely revamped, not only it looks good from outside, it looks nice inside too. The Elantra is available in two trim levels, Elantra GLS and Elantra Limited.

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra geta a all new engine. The 1.8-litre four cylinder engine produces 148 horsepower 131 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. It achieves 29mpg in the city and 40mpg on the highway when paired with a six speed manual gearbox. An option of six speed automatic is also available which is standard in the limited edition.

The Elantra GLS(base) comes standard with heated mirrors, keyless entry, 15-inch steel wheels, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, trip computer, a tilt-only steering wheel and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, full power accessories, satellite radio and an iPod/USB audio interface.

Additional features comes as optional package like the “Popular Equipment” package that adds air-conditioning, 16-inch steel wheels, cruise control and a telescoping steering wheel. The “Preferred Equipment” package adds Bluetooth, illuminated vanity mirrors and sun visor extensions, 16-inch alloy wheels, a sliding armrest on the center console and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls.

The Elantra Limited edition gets all the above features as standard plus gets foglamps, a sunroof, leather upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels, and heated front and rear seats.
The “Navigation” package adds automatic headlights, keyless ignition/entry, a navigation system, a rearview camera, real-time traffic and weather updates and a premium 360-watt audio system.
