Unlike the 2011 Hyundai Elantra Sedan which has gone complete transformation the 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring remains the same except few minor features changes. It is a five door five passenger hatchback with ample amount of space inside. This affordable hatchback is not only good in handling but returns a good fuel economy.

The Elantra Touring comes with only one engine choice, that is 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with an output of 138 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. A five speed manual transmission is standard and a four speed automatic is optional. The Hyundai Elantra Touring returns 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, with the automatic transmission the highway economy drops to 30 mpg. The Elantra Touring reached 60 mph from a standstill in 8.7 seconds.
The 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring is available in two trim-level, Elantra Touring GLS and SE. The base GLS includes air-conditioning, full power accessories, heated side mirrors, a tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery, 15-inch steel wheels, 60/40-split rear seats, keyless entry, a cooled glove-box and a six-speaker stereo. Options packaged as “Popular” includes foglights, roof rails, a trip computer, upgraded cloth upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, driver seat height and lumbar adjustments and a retractable cargo cover.

The higher trim SE gets all the features of GLS plus the “Popular” package and adds a sunroof, leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats and, on manual-transmission models, a sport shifter. Rear spoiler and Bluetooth can be fitted as individual option in both the model.
Satandard safety equipments are antilock disc brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and front-seat active head restraints.
There is enough head and legroom in both front and back seats. The cargo room is quite large with 24 cubic feet of loading space with the rear seats up and a huge 65 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
