Don't Let Your Teenager Drive Without Reading This First!
Posted by Alexander in Other Car Articles on March 11th, 2010
One of the most exciting moments for a teenager is when they get their driver’s license. However, it’s also one of the most terrifying for parents! All of a sudden, your teen is in control of a two-ton vehicle! (It’s also scary to think of how quickly they are growing up!) There are some things you really must know before your teen starts driving in order to help keep them a little bit safer out there on the road.
#1 Driving While Talking on a Cell Phone Reduces Reaction Tim

If your teen talks or texts on their cell while driving, their reaction time can be as impaired as if they were driving with a blood alcohol level of .08%! More and more states are starting to pass laws and regulations regarding the use of wireless devices due to the increasing number of accidents caused by their use. Make sure your teen knows that using their cell phone while driving is not acceptable for any reason.

Among fatality accidents involving males between the ages of 15 and 20, 37% were speeding at the time of the accident. It’s difficult for teenagers to understand how important it is to drive the speed limit all the time. The NTSB offers educational videos that show the dangers of speeding, as well as some extremely sobering statistics. This may be one way to ge

#3 Rural Driving Is More Dangerous
While you may think that it’s safer for your teen to drive because they don’t live in a metropolitan area, it’s far from the truth. Rural teenage drivers are twice as likely to be involved in an accident than teens that spend most of their time driving in a city. Speeding, narrow roads, deer, and less maintained roadways are some of the reasons why rural driving is more dangerous. If you live in a rural area, make sure your teen understands the specific driving risks associated with rural driving.
A Final Thougth
While your teen is likely ecstatic to have their driver’s license, remind them that driving is a privilege and not a right. You certainly have the right to take their keys away for unsafe driving or for making the wrong choices. Put your foot down and keep your child as safe as you can!

The Evolution Of Automotive Crm Systems
Posted by Alexander in Other Car Articles on March 9th, 2010
Well, to look at the current systems on the market place, one should look at the reason why the automotive CRMs are introduced in the first place. The very first automotive system was called DMS system or the dealer management system. It derived from the need of calculating how much should a technician should get paid based on the job he or she just completed. It was a simple concept, a simple computer terminal where it is connected to a system or network. Can offer the technicians the

It is a great dream and concept, the only problem is that the integration with the older system that was developed for technicians were never meant to be used in the modern day application such as this. This in turn left a huge technology gas between the versions,

where years have passed by but the original platform was so outdated it is difficult to convert the older system to be compatible with the newer ones. That is one of the biggest technological problems we are trying to solve today!
The obvious solution to this problem is to redevelop an entirely new application based on today’s platforms. As the days pass by, less and less support is available for the older systems that require Java plug ins for windows 98, even older. As the older system plug ins are flushed out of the market slowly, the application development team has limited time to have the newer application developed in place of the older one. In many cases the wire feeding unit can be clubbed with the MIG welder to make one piece. The gas that is used n the welder is the regular carbon dioxide, or a mix of carbon dioxide and argon or the oxygen and argon mix.
This particular equipment is also very helpful because the novices can easily maneuver this welder. Also the process of using and cleaning is fuss free as the amount of spatter with exact Lincoln welders is very less.

When considering the price of student car insurance rates, it is important to follow certain guidelines concerning the type of car that they drive.

It’s hard enough as a parent to turn your child loose on the highway for the first time with their own car. It can be even harder to get them to see that a safe, practical car is more important for them to drive in their early years as a licensed driver.
Here are a few tips that can help you save the most

money when insuring your student driver while at the same time helping them to see why certain cars can be better than others when it comes to saving money in the long run.
Start out by talking to your insurance agent about the best cars for young drivers that can insure that you get the lowest student car insurance rates. Hopefully by doing a little homework you can save some money and reach some common ground with your kid. 1. Teach your student driver about deductibles.

e surprised at how logical your teenager can be if you explain things to them the right way. When considering a car that is best for them for example, let them know that a lower priced, older car in good condition can allow them to have a higher deductible on their policy which translates into a lower premium.
It is not as easy to have a high deductible for a car that is more expensive (newer) to repair in the event of an accident. Older cars cost less to repair and can support a higher deductible because you and the insurance company don’t have as much financial risk with this type of car.
2. Stress the importance of the car’s safety features.
When considering a safe car, the obvious features to look for are airbags, ABS brakes, tire pressure monitoring systems and so on. But it is also important to consider cars that insurance companies have determined on average, are less likely to be involved in accidents.
The insurance companies compile data nationwide that shows which cars are involved in more accidents and which ones are involved in fewer accidents. Ask your insurance agent which ones are less risky and lean toward these cars.
3. Add your student driver to your own policy.
Most car insurance providers allow a rider to an existing policy that allows you to add your child to your existing policy. Normally you will get a substantially lower premium for your student car insurance rates.
Make sure however that you understand that if they are added to your policy, you are also liable for their driving mishaps. And make sure they are willing to accept the responsibility of knowing that if they drive recklessly that they are not only putting their own financial situation at risk but yours also.
Replace A Flat Tire In 5 Simple Steps
Posted by Alexander in Other Car Articles on March 8th, 2010
Driving is usually a pleasurable experience. Cruising through the streets or perhaps the countryside in the comfort lap of your own vehicle can be spiritually rewarding. I know of some people who treat driving as a stress buster. But bad roads and bottleneck traffic-jams can spoil this experience and the stress buster can be major cause for stress if you get a flat tire amidst all of this.
Although it can be sad and disheartening to see a flat tire, there is no need to worry. You

replace a flat tire in 5 simple steps
If your car tire goes flat even in the midst of traffic, here is what you need to do:
Don’t panic. You don’t have to stop your vehicle immediately. You can pull over to the side of the road away from any traffic and park your vehicle on a leveled surface. Switch on the parking lights / hazard lights in your vehicle and get the spare tire, Car Jack and the Lug Wrench out (usually kept in the boot).

With the Lug Wrench, start loosening the Lug Nuts on the wheel but don’t loosen them completely. Next, fix the Car Jack securely in the groove underneath your vehicle (usually to be fixed in the axle groove or suspension bar) and jack your car up so that the wheel is free and almost 2 inches above the ground.

to the Owner’s Manual of your vehicle.
Remove the Lug Nuts and then remove the flat tire. Place the removed tire in the boot of your car. Now fix the spare tire and tighten the Lug Nuts by hand. Remember to tighten opposite Lugs simultaneously. Once the tire is secured, use the Lug Wrench to tighten the Lug Nuts further.
Lower the Jack to lower the vehicle and once the tire is back on the ground, the jack will be released from its groove easily. Use the Lug Wrench to secure the Lugs further.
Now that the spare tire has been fixed, don’t forget to keep the Lug Wrench and the Car Jack back in their place and close the boot of your car.
Now you can go back on the road feeling confident that you replaced a flat tire all by yourself. But don’t forget to have the flat tire repaired by the mechanic before you breathe easy.
